The first virtual school is going to start in Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia said that technology is being adopted in Delhi’s education system. This will be a unique experiment of its kind in India. It will be the same as any other regular government school in the city. During a conversation on mental health and socio-emotional learning at Harvard Social Enterprise Conference, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that Happiness Curriculum and Mindfulness (conscious) made Delhi students and their families emotionally strong.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the place where students come from, we will develop those communities as learning hubs, it will develop the spirit of socialization among the students so that any student from any part of the country can get access to this school. Sisodia said that staying home at the time of Corona was a big shock in itself.
During this time there was also a lot of loss of children’s education. There was an uncertainty among the people about the future and many people also lost their jobs. It was a difficult time for all and our tolerance played an important role in getting out of this era.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that to develop a better lifestyle among the children, we developed the Happiness Curriculum. It aims at self-awareness, dialogue in children and helping them to deal with stressful and adversity around them.
