Vidyut Jamwal starrer action-thriller film ‘Khuda Hafiz’ is scheduled to stream on Disney + Hotstar from 14 August. Shivalika Oberoi will be seen as an actress in this film. Who started his career in Bollywood with the film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’ released last year. On this occasion, Shivalika shared some interesting stories related to her upcoming film with Dainik Bhaskar.
Question- When did the desire to appear on camera playing the role of assistant director?
Shivalika – ‘I always wanted to act. But because no one in my family belonged to this field, I played the role of assistant director in films like ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Kick’ and then started auditioning. Then I got my first film last year. After working as an assistant, I came to know a lot about the film making. I learned a lot which I am now adopting in my acting too.
Question- What about your character? How did you prepare yourself?
Shivalika- ‘In this film I am playing Nargis, a Muslim woman and her husband Vidyut Jamwal risks her life to save her. My role is of a very simple woman who talks to the eyes and is very simple.
Question- Which part was the most challenging during shooting and also the most fun?
Shivalika- ‘I remember that we went to shoot in Uzbekistan. Initially the temperature was 12-13 degrees Celsius but gradually the temperature went to minus. It was also reduced to -7 degrees. It was very difficult to shoot in that harsh winter. Everyone was struggling with the cold, yet because we live in Mumbai where it is often hot, it was fun to shoot in such a beautiful and cool place. I have seen the whole team working with the same vigor in the cold winter.
Question- Whose films do you inspires the most in Bollywood?
Shivalika- ‘I would like to say that I love Ayushmann Khurrana’s journey very much. They play very different characters and beautiful characters. Along with this, I also like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor. I think Shraddha is the complete package, whether it is singing or dancing. At the same time, I love the choice of Alia’s films.
Question- How was the experience of working with Vidyut Jamwal? What advice did he give on the set?
Shivalika- ‘Vidyut is not only a great action hero, but also a very good person. We always talked on the set, whether it was about food or fitness. I remember that whenever I used to give scenes, which they liked, they often used to say a line ‘Star and kya kisi karnega tu.’
