Sahil Khattar: BeingIndian helped people notice my talent, 83 will make them realise I can act, and with 200 they would know I can play a villain too

Sahil Khattar worked as a radio jockey, YouTuber, host and actor, Sahil Khattar has explored different mediums. And, he has enjoyed working on all of them.

“The more you work in different mediums, the more experience you gain. But over the years I have realised that the digital appeals to me the most, which is why I’ll never leave that space and will continue making content for my channels Khattarnaak and BeingIndian. I also like doing the WWE series on TV, enjoyed hosting Dance India Dance and anchoring for cricket. I also learnt a lot during my stint as a radio jockey with Red FM. While shooting for 83, I have also reliased the fun and learning that happens during filmmaking. So yes, I would like to do all of these throughout my life. If you can work in all the mediums, why restrict yourself?” he says.

Sahil considers every new project in his career as a new landmark. But if he has to choose then he feels that forming BeingIndian and then being part of 83 are the two big landmarks in his professional life so far.

“BeingIndian changed me both as a person and a content creator. It changed people’s outlook towards me. They started noticing my talent as an anchor, performer and also found me to be a funny guy. 83, on the other hand, will make people realise that I can act too. Now 200 is generating good response.” he adds.

Talking about who inspires him in his career, Sahil takes the name of actor Shah Rukh Khan, “Anybody who wants to do something on his own wants to look up to him because he’s made it himself. And the one guy who will surprise everybody is Farhan Akhtar. In Bollywood I look up to Farhan Akhtar a lot because he’s multi-talented. He’s not just an actor or a director he’s also a writer and singer. He’s the be-all and end-all of everything. Actually, I am a fan of his humour. I always tell a lot of my friends that if someday I look hopeless, I have told my friends to put up a tent outside Farhan Akhtar’s house for me. In Hollywood, I love Seth Rogan, Sasha Baron Cohen and Rickey Gervais. All these people are my inspiration,” he ends.

So how does he unwind after a hard day’s work? “I love playing FIFA and snooker on my play station. Chit chatting with friends and spending time with family also makes me happy. I also watch a lot of content and sports too,” he ends.

Playing a father made me realise that I would love to be a father someday: Nishant Malkhani

Published

Nishant Malkhani essayed the role of a father in Beyond Dreams Entertainment’s ongoing show “Rakshabandhan: Rasaal Apne Bhai Ki Dhaal”. Though he had earlier played a dad in “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega”, the current show was his first full-fledged role as a father.

Talking about portraying fatherly emotions on-screen, he said, “This is the first time I have done a full-on fatherly role with two little kids, and honestly speaking, I think it was a beautiful experience because I got to explore the fatherly side of myself and I realized how much I love kids and how much I would love to be a father someday. So thanks to ‘Rakshabandhan…’ I have had the realization that I want to be a father someday.”

When the show started he played Umed Pratap Singh, a single father of two kids – Rasaal and Shivraj. Asked if there were any apprehensions about playing a father on-screen, he said, “My character was of course a father to two kids but otherwise he is shown to be a really handsome dude with Rajasthani royal looks.

He was shown like a king with a nice mustache and there are so many scenes where he is fighting like an action hero. He is showing off his body while working out. So of course, he’s a single father but a very attractive, very loving man. And I think overall looks-wise, Umed Pratap Singh was one of the most good-looking characters that I have ever played.”

After Umed’s death, the show takes a leap and Nishant is then seen as Shivraj. He said that he is lucky that he got to explore this concept of playing both son and father on-screen and added, “I never thought this would happen with me because usually most of the time this happens with the female leads of a show.”

He further said, “But like I keep saying, I am always very lucky when it comes to television. I get very male-centric roles in male-centric stories too. So in this show, when I played Umed Pratap Singh and now that I play his son, Shivraj, both characters are the center of the show, the story and the actual male protagonist of the show. So I think it is a wonderful opportunity for me to explore this and show that I can play the father and the son and do a convincing job out of it.”

Nishant has two music videos in the pipeline which will be out soon. He stressed that music videos easily reach a lot of people and said, “The chances of the video going viral is much higher if the song becomes a hit. Also, everybody loves music, everybody loves good songs, so if you get to be part of a super hit song, I think that’ll increase my audience by many folds from what I have currently.

Let’s hope for the best and hope that my songs do well when they come out.”

Designer duo Hetvi Gindra and Tanisha Chhajer are known for their styling work in Bigg Boss. The duo works together and runs a firm named Stylebytaashvi. They have worked with Paras Chhabra in Bigg Boss 13 and since then there is no looking back. In their career they have worked with celebrities like Neha Kakkar, Shefali Jariwala, Akanksha Puri, Dipika Kakkar, Shoaib Ibrahim, Nikki Tamboli, Shakti Arora and Rohan Mehra.

In Bigg Boss 15 the duo have designed for actress Vidhi Pandya. Talking about her journey Hetvi says,”We started our careers as an intern when we were 18. After sometime while studying we started our own firm and the first project we did together was Bigg Boss 13. We styled Paras Chhabra in that season and got great feedback. It’s been 2 years we have been working in this industry as Stylebytaashvi.

We have been doing personal styling, Reality Shows, Tv Shows, Ads, etc.”Speaking about Vidhi she says,”Vidhi is a known actor from Udaan. We met before she entered Bigg Boss house. We have liked how she has played and gave her 100% in tasks. She took a stand for whatever was right and raised a voice when something was wrong.

So Vidhi Personally doesn’t like to get dressed much, she likes simple, subtle and elegant styling. So we kept that in mind and accordingly sent clothes for her. I feel anything she wears she carries it so well that it gets complete by her confidence and doesn’t need any accessories.” How important is the styling part in the Bigg Boss house? “Ofcourse it plays an important role in this reality show as everything here is real. This will show your real personality and how you actually dress up.”

So who is your inspiration in this industry? “Our inspiration is within yourself how we get better each day in our work. But we really admire Tanya Ghavri and Shaleena Nathani.”

The much-awaited and audience’s favourite show “Bigg Boss” is back with its fifteenth season with a special jungle theme. The premiere night started with Salman Khan shaking a leg to “Jungle hai aadhi raat hai” and “Swag se swagat”. Like every season, the superstar gave a warm welcome to the contestants and the third inmate to join the show was the cute Vidhi Pandya.

Wearing a pink floral lehenga, Vidhi entered the show while dancing to the popular track “Param sundari”. She was quite excited to meet Salman and introduced herself as a hardworking lazy girl. She told Salman she likes to work but loves to laze around. She even revealed that she is a good cook and can cook food for any number of people given the vegetables have been chopped. She said that she is like a chef because the magic lies in how you add the spices. This left Salman in splits.

Not just that she even shared how she had the chance to get a pic clicked with Salman when she was 18. But Vidhi complained that the pic was very blurry and asked Salman if she could get a pic with him on the stage. Well, Salman happily obliged and clicked the pic himself.

Later, when it was time to face the “Awesome Mirror”, it defined Vidhi as “Aalsi, aarampasand and chulbuli”. And as for what animal of the jungle she is, the mirror called her a “panda”. Vidhi got excited with the response and revealed that even her friends call her that.

Salman then called the next contestant Simba Nagpal and they both were given a situation which will help them win the survival kit. Unfortunately, they lost it and they were made to take the tough route to enter the “Bigg Boss” house. Though she was scared, Vidhi did a wonderful job and made her way to the main gate of the house where the other inmates welcomed her.

And guess what, when Vidhi went up to the “Vishwa Sundari” tree and tried talking to her, while the other housemates told her that she doesn’t talk to everyone, luckily she got a reply. Well, this definitely left her elated and she said that she feels special.

Well, Vidhi is definitely going to keep us entertained with her funny and bubbly antics and we wish her a happy, peaceful and long journey in the “Bigg Boss” house.
