Mumbai. Arun Govil, who became popular with Ram’s character on TV, has expressed his pain on Twitter. In a tweet on Saturday, he said that despite doing popular serials like ‘Ramayana’, he was never given any kind of respect from the central or state government. Govil wrote, “No government has given me any respect, whether it is a state government or a central government. I am from Uttar Pradesh, but that government has not given me any respect till date. And even I have been in Mumbai for fifty years. But the Maharashtra government has not given any respect.

62-year-old Arun gave this answer in a conversation with Raghuvendra Singh for Filmfare on Twitter. Arun may have expressed his disappointment towards the central and state government. But his fans are making him realize that the honor given to him by the people of the country as Ram is more than every award. One user wrote, “Arunji, you yourself are an honor for us. Give or not give you any respect, see and worship you as Rama in all the houses of India.” Another user commented, “Crores of people see Ram in you. Someone can get such an honor? My son considers you Ram.”
On the preparation of Ram’s character
In this conversation, when Govil was asked what kind of preparations did he make to bring up the character of Ram? So he wrote in response, “I did not see any film. I had seen the pictures of him in my house. I had imagined him based on all his qualities. Before shooting we had taken a photo in Ram’s look, to see that For how we look. ”

‘Ramayana’ side effects
When Arun was asked that after the ‘Ramayana’ people started accepting him as Ram, did he face any difficulty due to this? In response, he wrote, “I stopped getting commercial films after ‘Ramayana’. Everything has negative-positive aspects. What I got from ‘Ramayana’ is that I could have done any number of films, not me Get it. Lord Rama added his name to me. What else will God give? I shall remain a human being, that is too much for me. ”

Significantly, Ramanand Sagar’s serial “Ramayan” was first broadcast in 1987-88. At that time the popularity of this serial was such that people started worshiping Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhaliya as real Ram-Sita. During the lockdown, when Doordarshan rebroadcasted the same ‘Ramayana’ it once again got record breaking viewers. The show became the most watched show in the last five years and Doordarshan once again became the number one channel in the country.
